We had a wonderful time at the great house of Michael and his family. The view you have just out of the kitchen window is beautiful. Everything was well prepared and we found a great choice of information on all different kind of things to do in the area. Although we didn`t need to go far away because Valentia Island offered so many beautiful spots already. There were bikes, a kajak, wet suits, outdoorgames and many more facilities prepared for our use and we could fully enjoy the stay. The nature all around is incomparable with the beauty of the sea, plenty of flowers, the rocky coast and different beaches so close by. We even got the chance to watch whales of the top of the Kerry Cliffs-incredible! The views from the open-plan living and dining area are beautiful. We really appreciated having access to the kayak and were able to enjoy touring from Valentia harbour to your local beach and over to Beginish Island. The house was a great base for cycling and touring around the Ring of Kerry and Skerrig Ring and for an ‘expedition’ to Carrauntoohil. Thank you for your generous hospitality, for the gifts and meal provided and for generally being very easy ‘exchangers’. We hope you enjoy many more trips in the future.

We had the most relaxing holiday on Valentia island, it is absolutely beautiful. The house couldn't have been more perfectly situated with the friendly town and the beach a short walk away and the views of the sea from the house breath taking (especially from the balcony in the master bedroom). The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable with everything you could need. It was lovely for us and the children to fully switch off and really enjoy the island and house, we spent days on the beach and playing rounders/tennis/football at the park and evenings playing games and listening to live music and playing pool in the island pub and hotel. Michael and Niamh were great from start to finish, their communication was perfect throughout and they left us a lovely meal and gifts upon our arrival and even a gift when we arrived back to our home. We loved our stay on this magical, quiet, beautiful island. The house was very spacious and welcoming and the ocean views are awesome. Michael left a home cooked meal and some wonderful treats. The home was extremely comfortable, and we feel so lucky to have had the chance to visit Valentia Island and Michael's beautiful seaside retreat.

This ample, cosy, well equipped open plan house is well situated on an island that could be a scaled down model of Eire as a whole. Valentia Island, the Kerry Ring and the Skellig Island Ring are really deserving of exploration in depth and in detail. The roomy house with huge picture windows enjoys a mind-blowing prospect of the beautiful fjord leading to Knightstown harbour. Every morning and for hours on end we sat contemplating the always changing marine views. Personally, as an amateur painter I longed to be able to render the emotions induced by this glorious site always open and available from inside the house. We also enjoyed the varied and challenging hikes that were indicated by our hosts. They allowed us to discover the Kerry peninsula and surroundings from on high--a memorable experience. All commodities are available at a short distance, especially on the mainland that one can access or depart from on a cute little ferry that in five minutes took us across (there is also a bridge). Communicating with our hosts was always a pleasure. We were delighted by the thoughtful gifts they offered on our arrival and again when we returned to our house.

Nous avons été sous le charme de Valentia Island, la vue depuis la maison sur le phare et les îles d'en face est tout simplement magique! MIchael et Niamh sont des hôtes agréables et très respectueux, leur maison est moderne, confortable et très facile à vivre. Nous avons profité pleinement du sud Ouest irlandais: Dingle, Cork, Killarney, et avons pu séjourner 2 jours à Dublin en nous y rendant en train depuis Killarney plutôt facilement. La météo était de notre côté, rendant les vacances inoubliables! Un grand merci pour ce bel échange CLaire et David

Maison très agréable avec une vue magnifique sur la mer . Le temps irlandais nous a permis de découvrir les paysages magiques de l'Irlande avec des couleurs extraordinaires . La communication avec Michael et Niahm a été très facile et agréable . Nous avons adoré l'Irlande , et en particulier Valentia . Nous avons marché au milieu des moutons , fait du vélo , pris le bateau , observé les fous de bassans et les dauphins, gouté la guiness et écouté la musique irlandaise dans les pubs... Nous recommandons cet échange .
