Our large apartment,182 square metres, is in the Eixample district within easy walking distance of the city centre (1.5 km) but away from the tourist crowds. Close to our apartment there is an overwhelming range of attractions to explore. Many of the most famous buildings of Catalan Modernism, including some by Gaudi, are also at hand.
The apartment built in 1905 is in Modernista style, was completely renovated in 2014 and retains the charming features of the period. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living, dining, television and dressing rooms, as well as an eat in gallery. There is ducted air conditioning throughout.
Metro, rail and bus services are all just one block away. Public parking is also nearby.
A short Metro ride takes you to Montjuic, the site of many of the events of the 1992 Olympics. There is a large area of parkland on the mountain, as well as the important collection of the Fundacio Miro and the National Museum of Catalan Art.

Our area has an extensive range of cultural, entertainment and sporting options, many within walking distance. The world-famous Barceloneta beach is easy to reach by local public transport. Further afield, the coastal paradise of the Costa Brava is a short drive or bus trip away.
The Eixample is the area of Barcelona where the greatest number of Modernista architectural masterpieces are concentrated. Several of them are within a few blocks of our apartment.
There are abundant choices to enjoy Barcelona’s restaurants and bars and, for cooking at home, there are good quality fresh food markets and supermarkets. The detailed information package on the apartment has a range of suggestions.

Within walking distance of our apartment there is an almost overwhelming range of attractions to explore. Bars and restaurants are on almost every corner and range in price and quality from the very basic to the elegant and expensive. The shopping mecca of Paseo de Gracia is a block away, and many of the most famous buildings of Catalan Modernism, including some by Gaudi, are also at hand.
A little further off are the important musical venues the Liceu and Palau de la Musica Catalana. Several venues also offer flamenco and jazz music.
A short Metro ride takes you to Montjuic, the site of many of the events of the 1992 Olympics. There is a large area of parkland on the mountain, as well as the important art collections of the Fundacio Miro and the National Museum of Catalan Art.
There are easy day trips north to the coastal towns of the Costa Brava and to the south to Sitges and Tarragona. And if you are here in the winter, you may want to ski in the Pyrenees or Andorra.

Our apartment is not set up to receive children or pets. There are some outdoor and indoor plants which need watering, especially in the summer, but which are otherwise easy to care for.
The apartment will be clean on your arrival and we would appreciate it if it left in the same condition. Our regular cleaner is available to come on a weekly basis if you wish.
