Dear Christiane Thank you for exchanging your home with us. We enjoyed the time in Oldenburg. Your home was very comfortable, cosy, stylish furnished, clean and well organized It was a great location spending relaxed easter time. We were very impressed about the beaty of the surrounding. We loved the beaches, the windy weather with the sun and enjoyed all of your recommendations. We had a very good time here in the north and are sure, this was not our last vacation in this region. Christiane was extremely flexible about the timing of our return exchange with this having been delayed by Covid. She was at the house to meet us when we arrived. The house was clean and comfortable and we felt very much at home. We were made to feel very welcome indeed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was definitely enhanced by Christiane’s kindness in showing us round and making suggestions as to things to do. We had never been to this part of Germany and were impressed with the variety of attractions..beaches, lovely historic towns and of course Lubeck, a very beautiful city where Christiane met us one day and showed us parts we wouldn’t otherwise have seen. We had a great holiday. Thank you Christiane it was a real pleasure to meet you.

Your home was very clean, well organized, and a perfect location for exploring Northern Germany with fantastic sandy beaches, fresh wind and the very interesting historical city of Lübeck. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Christiane was one of the best house sitters we've ever had - easy to communicate with, friendly, and attentive to things that we value. We'd love to have her stay again and highly recommend her house sitting talents!

We had a great exchange in Oldenburg. It is a small village but with trains stopping from Hamburg and Denmark it is a very convenient place to reach and to explore places further afield. We had easy day trips to the seaside at Heiligenhafen, Lubeck with its charming old town, Eutin with its castle and excellent guide book in English and typical German market squares for eating and people watching. We didn't travel to Denmark as we already had a holiday in Spain and Portugal to do but Denmark would have been easy to do for a few days. Christiane is a wonderful and thoughtful host. She left lots of maps and thorough travel suggestions. Her neighbour was friendly and very helpful. He enjoyed the opportunity to practise his English, I'm sure. We had the pleasure of meeting Christiane and her daughter while they stayed with us on a non simultaneous exchange.
