Been members of homelink.org and homexchange.com on and off over the last 11 years and have had 23 great swaps. We travel only to the United States and Europe as we cannot tolerate any more then 10 hours on a plane. I am in my 50's and Erwin is in his 60's. We are fairly active couple who love gardening and hiking. We love visiting cities that offer Museums and diverse architecture. We can only get away for 2 weeks at a time and prefer to travel in spring or fall.

Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort
We have a bright well laid out 1 bedroom flat.(750 sq feet/ 70 sm ).There are several large established trees that encourage bird life to come visit us on a regular basis. They also gives us a fair bit of privacy in a busy city.
Please note we are on the 3rd floor of a 3 FLOOR WALK UP. No elevator. (circa 1950 building). The flat faces northwest so you look at the mountains, West Vancouver and the down town from the living room.
NO PET CARE NEEDED. We have 3 free flying budgies who go visit their friends at a local bird sanctuary while we are away. We would be delighted to take care of your dog or cat during our stay . We have successfully done so in the past.

We have a compact Mercedes SUV for your use while here. Ideally it is useful to visit Whistler .

We live on the west side of Vancouver. The area is referred to as Fairview Slopes. Predominately a neighborhood that consists of condos and townhomes. City Hall and Vancouver General Hospital are the anchors in this neighborhood.
10 minute walk west takes you to South Granville where Pottery Barn , Restoration Hardware and William & Sonoma reside. Walk 10 minutes east of us and you are at Broadway/City Hall skytrain Station , Whole Foods,Starbucks London Drugs and other daily amenities. You will not starve for restaurants choices in this neighborhood.
You can take Broadway /City Hall skytrain to downtown in 6 minutes. Or walk across the street and take the no 17 bus and be there in 10 minutes. Check out www.translink.ca for transit details to get to top spots like Stanley Park , Queen Elizabeth Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge and the various beaches in and around the city.
It is 10 minute walk to the seaside greenway (Charleson Park). Grab a ferry if you want to see the city on the water. There are 2 companies who do the runs. http://www.granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/schedule.htm and http://theaquabus.com/
