Welcome to Vancouver Island, one of the most beautiful and diverse islands on planet earth. It stretches from the genteel provincial capitol city of Victoria, at the south end to the rugged wilderness of Johnstone Strait, home of the Killer Whale and Cape Scott, 300 miles to the north. Courtenay, our home town, is located in the geographical centre of the island. A three-hour drive to the island’s west coast brings you to the wild open Pacific coast, and Long Beach, one of the world’s most magnificent beaches. Vancouver Island is an outdoorsman’s paradise, with the Puntledge River estuary, and the hiking trails of Strathcona Provincial Park a short distance from our home.
