We met Ann and Patrick as we arrived. They welcomed us with coffee and bisciuts and we have had a nice small talk. Afterwards they showed and explained all we need to know about house and household. We feeled immediatley at home at Anns and Patricks beautiful house. We often visited Antwerpen, twice we have been in Bruxelles. It was easy to go by tram respectivley train. The station is reachable in few minutes by foot.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ann and Patrick's home. It was quite an experience for us to live in such an an eco friendly hi tech house. We were delighted with how easily and efficiently everything worked. It is a very comfortable home. We had breakfast every morning on the patio and relaxed in the peaceful quiet surroundings. The location is ideal. There are very good train, tram and bus connections to Antwerp (15 minutes away) and to lots of interesting towns nearby. We went to all the museums in Antwerp and we visited Mechelen, Willebroek, and Lier. It was a pleasure to look after their lovely little cat. She was the perfect host!

The exchange with Ann and Patrick was a superb experience. Although we live about 1,5 hours driving from each other, it feels like being on a vacation trip abroad (well, it actually is abroad :-) Meeting each other for a lunch halfway and to hand over the keys, was a very good way to also get to know each other. After coming home, we feel good about exchanging again, because there is mutual trust to give our homes and pet (!) into each others hands.
