A perfect place for us to enjoy walks, gardens and restaurants. Wondrful to have off street parking right in the heart of the city. Homely feel to the house. Thank you John and Lis.

We especially liked the close proximity to the wonderful Pukekura Park, and downtown shops etc. and coast all within easy walking distance. Good to meet our lovely hosts too when boarding and alighting planes before and after exchange. Thanks.

We had the best time in New Plymouth! John and Lis have a lovely home within walking distance of town and the wonderful Pukekura Park. We could not have a nicer place to stay.

We were lucky enough to meet John and Lis a few weeks before we exchanged houses. They are warm friendly folk with a comfortable home. It was a short walking distance to the New Plymouth CBD. This was an advantage when the Americana car rally was in town! They kept in close contact with us during the drama of Cyclone Gita and were most understanding when there were power problems in their exchange house. New Plymouth is a very interesting city and there is lots to see and do in the wider rural area of Taranaki. We strongly recommend an exchange in New Plymouth. Thanks so much Lis and John. We had a great exchange experience with John and Lis. They were perfect hosts, and their house was very comfortable. It was a surprise to us that it was so close to the beach (a really good beach, people told us!) and at night you could hear the waves crashing in. Taranaki is such a gorgeous place... as we love walking and gardens it was the perfect place for us. Mt Taranaki gives endless opportunities for walking in the bush, and Taranaki is known for their gardens, many of which are free to visit, and we were also surprised by how many nature parks/walks were within New Plymouth city itself. We could have stayed for ages! Thank you, John and Lis, for such a nice exchange.
