Peter and Marty offered us the exchange almost a year ago and we agreed a 3 week exchange in June 2017 to follow up on 3 weeks in Saint Ausustine in Florida. From our 1st contact the exchange went as smooth as a knife through butter.We were joined by my cousin Christina. Peter and Marty’s home and everything in it was impeccable. It is surrounded by beautiful secluded manicured gardens in the magnificent neighbourhood of Country Club Drive right next to the Golf Club.Lake Oswego, Oregan is picture perfect and a beautiful peaceful place to live and holiday. The town of Lake Oswego has lots of beautiful restaurants and shops and the people were ultra friendly and helpful. Natural and Organic food products are widely produced in the area and shopping locally was a joy particularly at the local farmers market. Oregan wine is produced locally in Willamette Valley and we visited a number of vineyards and tasted some beautiful wines. The Food Carts in Portland are another great experience not to be missed. The mix of food available was amazing. We toured extensively and here are a few highlights, Rose Gardens and hill views of Portland, Hood River, Mount Hood, Bonneville Dam, Willamette Valley, State Capital Salem, Cannon Beach, Astoria and the famous Megler Bridge that crosses the Columbia River to Washington State. We spent a day in Seattle and 3 days in Vancouver. On our last evening while dining at Lake Oswego a very kind local family offered us a boat trip on The Lake. It was a magical experience as the sun went down over the surrounding hills. It was the perfect finish to a wonderful exchange. Big Irish Thanks Joan, Christina and Denis.

Thank you Peter and Marty for everything you did for both of us and Maeva!! We'll never forget our stay in Lake Oswego. We're looking forward to seeing again next year in Brittany, hoping that nothing will come across your plans this time. Patrick
