Our home provides dream vacation home with resort-like amenities. This beautiful, recently remodeled 4 bedroom 5 bathroom home is complete with a gourmet kitchen and a park-like backyard retreat with pool, jacuzzi and play structure. We designed our home with casual, large and comfortable spaces for our family to enjoy being together and several quiet nooks for relaxing in privacy. Whether seeking a place to unwind and do nothing or a place to relax after an active day out and about, we think you will love our custom designed home.
Situated on a large corner lot, our home is nestled among large, mature trees and provides a private oasis. It is especially perfect for families as we have many amenities to keep kids extremely comfortable and entertained with a very large backyard, pool and Jacuzzi, a large play structure, tetherball and a kid’s paradise of a playroom complete with flat screen TV, Play Station gaming system, DVD player, ping pong table, Nok Hockey, board games, books, and toys.
After coming home from a leisurely day at the beach, you can choose to cook in the well appointed kitchen complete with new stainless steel appliances, island with second sink, and granite countertops or simply grill outside. Eat at the breakfast nook, the counter or outdoor. The choice is yours. You can even grab some logs from the woodpile and roast s’mores over the outside fire pit in the evening.
Our 4,000+ square foot house provides ample space to comfortably sleep 9 people. It has four full bedrooms, and five bathrooms including a kid friendly bathroom off the pool and playroom with a shower for a quick rinse after the beach. The first floor has a large, open kitchen and family room with fold-away patio doors that connect you to all the action indoors and out. The first floor also has a powder room and on the lower level there is a workout room with elliptical and rowing machines, balance ball, exercise mat and bands. Upstairs there is a large master suite that includes a king size bed and a couch for reading or watching TV on the large flat screen. Unwind in the large master bath with oversized tub or enjoy the walk in shower with dual shower heads. Bedroom 2 holds a twin bed with trundle, and a private sink and vanity. Bedroom 3 has a twin bunk bed with trundle bed, a private sink and vanity, and a bathroom with tub shower and toilet shared with Bedroom 2 (also known as a Jack and Jill setup). Bedroom 4 has a queen-sized bed and a private bathroom and shower. Each room is large and has large windows the views from which are framed by trees, filled with trees, and/or (in the case of the master suite) unobstructed for a mile.
You’ll have access to pool toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and bocce balls as well as two parking spaces.
This is our primary residence, and we take great pride in our home. It will be freshly made up by professional housekeepers in preparation for your stay and, since we live here for all but a few weeks every year, it will have many amenities that you will not find in an ordinary vacation home. Please keep in mind that, since it is our home, there will also be some personal photos on the walls, some clothes in the closet, and some food in the walk-in pantry. But you will have ample space for your own food and personal items, and this will definitely feel like a vacation retreat!
We are located on the historic Point Loma peninsula, just a 10 minute drive from the airport and centrally located to many of San Diego’s best attractions and outdoor activities: beach, bay, bike, hike, kayak, etc.

Walk or drive west (3 minutes!) from our home and you’re at beautiful Sunset Cliffs, a mile-and-a-half long protected natural park with one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in California. Sunset Cliffs is a beautiful area to enjoy the ocean, go for a jog or hike, or take a stroll down to one of several white sand cove beaches that are accessible from steps and trails.

A minute further along and you’re at famous Ocean Beach, which we locals affectionately refer to as OB. There you can: Spend all day at the white sand beaches or browse the antique shops along Newport Avenue. Enjoy shopping at Wednesday afternoon's farmers market and street fair. Or indulge in some of San Diego’s most famous spots for burgers and fish tacos. Kids will love dining or fishing over the ocean at the café on the OB pier.
Head south five minutes, and visit the historic lighthouse, visitors center, and walking path at the National Park Service’s Cabrillo National Monument, and take in more awesome views of the ocean or check for low-tide and explore the sea creatures in the nearby tide pools.
Head east (3 minute drive!) to the bay side and explore Shelter Island with its fishing pier, playground, and great restaurants. Nearby is the bay-side walking path and the locals’ favorite “lake-like” beach called Kellogg Beach, where stand-up paddle boarding is all the rage.

The village in Point Loma has charming restaurants and a marina along the harbor for fishing, walking and dining. Point Loma also hosts the waterfront Liberty Station community with 300+ acres that boast a beautiful promenade for walking, biking, and rollerblading, as well as playgrounds, restaurants, the very popular Public Market, cultural attractions, a ceramic cafe and Stone Brewery, a craft brewery and restaurant with outdoor gardens and bocce court. A short drive down the harbor you can catch the ferry to storied Coronado Island (home of the historic Hotel Del Coronado) and explore its Tidelands Park on a rented surrey or tandem bike.

Downtown's Gaslamp District is just 15 minutes away for world-class restaurants, night clubs, and entertainment, including a Padres game at Petco Park. Historic Old Town, one of San Diego’s most visited sites, offers a glimpse into early California, has great Mexican restaurants, and is only 10 minutes away. The world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park each are a 15-minute drive, and Sea World is even closer. The Ocean Beach/Point Loma area is known for being conveniently located to just about everything that one might want to see and do while in San Diego.
