The perfect location for a longer trip to the USA. Pair a week in Chelsea with a week in Toronto or NYC and then even another week elsewhere!

We live in the beautiful state of Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes. Our 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, home is in a quintessentially lovely American small town, Chelsea. Walk to the park, playgrounds, theater, the farmer’s market, the grocery, the library, free summer concerts, art exhibits, restaurants and shopping. Lake Michigan is a 2 hour drive and has some of the topped ranked beaches in the United States. Detroit is 45 minutes away and that means world class museums like The Henry Ford, the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the Motown Museum, as well as Broadway shows and concerts by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and other renown performers. Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan, is 20 minutes away. There you’ll find concerts, lectures, theatre, excellent restaurants, shopping, and more. For weekend excursions, drive north to Mackinac Island, south to Cincinnati, or take the train or bus west to Chicago. And Canada is only 60 minutes away, too!

We live in the beautiful state of Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes. From our house, you can walk to the park, playgrounds, theater, the farmer’s market, the grocery, the library, enjoy free summer concerts, art exhibits, restaurants, and shopping.

Getting to my home

1. Fly into Detroit, rent a car at the airport, drive 45 minutes to our home.

2. Fly into Chicago, stay a couple of days, take the train to Jackson or Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our local host will meet you and take you to car rental agency. You would drive 15 minutes to our home.

3. Fly into Toronto, stay a few days. Train into Windsor (Canada); Drive to Chelsea.

Nearest airport

Detroit Metro (DTW) is 45 minutes by car.

Getting around

We are very walkable with everything you need a 5-15 minute walk - restaurants, pharmacies, grocery, bakery, hardware, parks, gift shops. Bigger shopping areas are 15 minutes by car.
