Walter and Marita were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to help us settle in - Marita picked us up at the train station and even took us grocery shopping as we did not have a car at that time. They also showed us many charming parts of the Black Forest in person. The home they provided was very centrally located, an easy walk or bike ride to the village square, shops and bike routes in every direction. Also very spacious, comfortable and well equipped with a lovely west facing balcony with a great view over the fields and forest. The Seelbach valley offered great bike paths through picturesque villages and green pastures and the bikes provided by our hosts were of high quality which made our cycling adventures most enjoyable. The village also has a fantastic outdoor swimming complex, great for the hot weather. Marita and Walter were very helpful in supporting us with our lack of German and also helped us out with a couple of mini crises (car rental). We really appreciated our drives into the Black Forest and to the wine area of the Schwarzwald to see the heart of the Black Forest and the wonderful wine lands. All in all, a fabulous visit.
