Grannskap

Beskrivning av vårt grannskap och omgivning

The Olympic Village (1972) is a pedestrian area (cars are banned to the basement) connected to the Olympic Park with Stadium. The Olympia Shopping Mall is in walking distance (15 min). Bicycle routes to the center and the northern area are shown on signs.
The Olympic Village itself offers everything for your daily needs: a supermarket, bakeries, pharmacies, stationery, take aways (Turkish/Italian - Pizza, Chinese), post office, organic food, and a Chinese Restaurant.

A 7-minute-walk takes you to the underground, after a 10-minute-ride (every 10 minutes) you`re in the city center (Marienplatz). A weekly ticket for the public transport within the inner part of Munich costs €15,40 and will take you to all places of interest.

Attraktioner

Våra tips om platser att gå och saker att göra när du bor i vårt hem

Munich is most famous for its science museum (Deutsches Museum), the art galleries with masterpieces of all centuries (Pinakotheken, Brandhorst Museum, Lenbachhaus) gathered all in one area (Kunstareal), the castles of their kings (Residenz, Schloss Nymphenburg with park and botanic garden nearby). Beside this high culture the popular culture of beergardens is most recommendable. You can bring your own food and have to buy only your drinks, or you buy your food their as well, and there will be a serviced part as well. The most popular beergardens are in the English Garden (Chinesischer Turm, where brass music is played on weekends), but there are lots of others worth visiting.

Daytrips to beautiful lakes with cruises (Starnberger See, Ammersee), to the Alps (G7 summit), to famous castles (Neuschwanstein, Linderhof), to Austria (Salzburg, Innsbruck) can mostly be done by public transport as well with daytickets (Bayernticket, €25-30).
