We are Christian and Stephanie and moved eights years ago to the beautiful city Hamburg - we really like our city, the neighborhood and the lively atmosphere in this area. We do like to travel as well and I just read an article about home exchange and I ve always wanted to try this. Since we got a little daughter 1.5 years ago, we would like to stay at a "real" place while being on vacation.

Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort
We live in an old apartment in central Hamburg (Altona) - it is just a short walk to the river (Elbe) and a 10-minute-walk to a very lively neighborhood, where you can enjoy cozy coffee places, good restaurants and local markets.
We have a fully furnished kitchen, two bed rooms, one bathroom, big living room, a working space with a piano and a garden. Since we got a little daughter 1.5 years ago, we do have a baby bed and a high chair (but we can put it easily into the basement, if there is no need).

Beskrivning av vårt grannskap och omgivning
We live in a quiet street (one way) in a lovely neighborhood of old buildings (it is called Hamburg Altona-Altstadt). It is an area with many culture events, students and young families. After walking five to ten minutes you are able to enjoy all kind of things: nice restaurants, local organic markets, supermarkets, coffee and ice cream places, a city-IKEA - and its a 15 minute walk to the river (and beach!) Elbe! It always feels like a holiday to go down there: enjoy the water and the good atmosphere.
If you have kids, there are many playgrounds...
The next subway station is 140 meters away: It takes you every 3-5 minutes to the city for shopping (8 minutes), to the "Elbphilharmonie" (15 minutes), to the Alster (beautiful river area; 10 minutes). There are also many galleries, museums and lots of sights seeing possibilities. There is also a station for the ferry, which is five minutes away.
