Freiburg is submontane to the Black Forest. In less than an hour you are in Switzerland (Basel) or France (Strasbourg, Colmar, Alsace). Paris can be reached by train in 2.5 hours. Even to Marseille the train takes only just over 6 hours. Milan (Italy) is 400 km away.
The Amusement Park "Europa Park Rust" you can reach in 40 Minutes.
Basel Airport can be reached in 40 minutes, to Zurich or Frankfurt it is about 2 hours.
Freiburg and its region are known for the good weather - the most sunshine hours in Germany are in the Upper Rhine Valley.


We live in a new residential area on the outskirts of Freiburg. In our neighborhood there is everything you need for everyday use - supermarket, bakers, butchers, restaurants etc. At the border of the residential area is a nature reserve, where you can take a delightful stroll. A lake with bathing facilities can be reached by bike in 10-15 minutes. The city zoo (Mundenhof – free of charge) is also within walking distance (15-20 minutes’ walk). By tram or bike you are in downtown in 15 to 20 minutes.
