Anne & Klaus are fantastic and very kind hosts, who really make you feel welcome. Their cosy home is on the ground floor of a beautiful early 20th century semi-detached villa, with lots of historic details and a lovely garden. It is located in a calm and leafy suburb of Bonn (Bad Godesberg), right next to a scenic park (La Redoute). It is easy to cycle around town, and it takes just a short ride into the city centre, with (organic) supermarkets, bakeries, coffee places, and other shops. The banks of the river Rhine are less than 10 minutes by bike, and there are several scenic rides along the river - either towards Bonn, towards the south or on the opposite side of the river, into the beautiful Siebengebirge. There are several ferries that cross the river, and a nice cog railway into the hills - an ideal starting point for hiking in the Siebengebirge. Public transport is excellent - the nearby U-bahn metro takes you quickly into Bonn and several brilliant museums along the way. We particulary enjoyed the Haus der Deutsche Geschichte (German History Museum), and the Bundeskunsthalle, but there are more - one could easily spend a week just visiting the many top notch museums. All in all, we've had a great time and can totally recommend this exchange. Thank you Anne & Klaus for your great hospitality!

Anne and Klaus's appartment is beautiful, just as the street is. We enjoyed so much spending time there that after a day of visit it was always a pleasure to get back home to relax, eat, read in any room or sunbathe in the lovely garden. The environment was very nice, with view on part of a park on one side, and on the beautiful and quiet street on the other. Shopping or eating out is just 5 minutes' walk and going to Bonn (which is a nice, interesting and lively city) is very easy with the underground or train. You don't need to go too far to see plenty of beautiful places such as castles or lovely villages or to have nice walks and meals along the Rhine. And last but not least, everything was perfectly arranged for us, and communication with Anne and Klaus was very friendly and easy. Merci beaucoup pour cet échange ! Nathalie, Christophe et Adèle

Dear Anne & Klaus. Your house in Bad Godesberg/Bonn was a very nice place for our holiday. It was easy to find, and everything was at a fine standard. Surroundings also fine, a very good shopping centre with lots of shops, restaurants, theatre, etc. Lots of different activities easy to find from your house. The historic Bonn and Köln were very interesting, but also the easy access to the Rhine and the mountains made it a great holiday for us. We definitely recommend your house for future exchanges. Eigentlich wollten wir nicht nach Bonn, haben uns aber von der Anfrage angesprochen gefühlt und waren sehr angetan. Wunderbare Wohnung in ebenso schönem Viertel - sehr netter Kontakt im Vorfeld und danach. Absolut empfehlenswert!
