The house has a great location for walking into beautiful town centre of Ueberlingen, which we enjoyed so much as we live rural and need our car for most things. Regine and Tim were very supportive and provided all information needed. The house has a fantastic location for many interesting sights in the region too. There was a big folder for us to check on regional events. Regine and Time left us with a lovely little welcome pack which included food too. We felt very much at home there. Thank you both very much!!!

We had a fantastic holiday in Uberlingen, in a beautiful and charming house. Blessed by glorious weather, we had the luxury of taking a dip in the lake most evenings - and even when we once got utterly soaked cycling back home, we didn't mind too much because it was quite an experience! The town was a great place from which to explore the area, and our hosts' comments and suggestions helped us make the most of our trip. The house was well-equipped and a lovely home-from-home for our fortnight. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Despite the corona virus pandemic problem during the summer of 2020, we decided to look for an exchange within driving distance. We chose the Bodensee area as we had been there before and we highly recommend it as a holiday destination. We had an amazing exchange with Tim and his family. They left very detailed instructions on the house and surrounding areas (as well as some nice goodies for our first dinner). Their house is charming, comfortable and very original. We loved cooking simple meals and eating in the garden. It’s just 5 mins walk from the centre of Uberlingen, one of the most picturesque towns on the lake and a great starting point from which to explore the area. We enjoyed cycling along the very safe bike paths around the lake, mostly flat so easy for inexperienced cyclists like us. We enjoyed a great day at the thermal baths which have gorgeous views and a couple of slides for kids. There are many many options for interesting day trips and we were never bored (don’t miss the monkey park (Affenburg) about 20 mins away)! Regine and Tim are experienced exchangers. Our contact upfront, during and after our exchange was very kind. The house in Überlingen is beautiful! Easter eggs and local wine plus our first dinner were waiting for us as well as lots of info material what to do. They thought of everything! Thank-you for a lovely Easter exchange which we really enjoyed. We were welcomed with Easter Eggs and local products (excellent beer, wine.. !). Your home was lovely and very comfortable. We really appreciated your personal book of tourist infomations with a lot of tips and useful recommendations. Überlingen is a beautiful village and an ideal starting point to explore Lake Constance. We loved the old castle in Meersburg, the impressive baroque complex of Salem Monastery and Palace and the Lake Dwelling Museum. We spent a very relaxing day cycling along the path around the Monastic Reichenau Island, with its vineyards and idyllic shores. Thank you to the whole family, so nice, welcoming and open minded

We thoroughly enjoyed our three week exchange with the Norfords and their beautiful home in Überlingen, in our opinion the best town on the lake. We corresponded easily with Tim and Regine in the months leading up to our exchange. They answered all of our questions and helped make our weeks spent in Überlingen very enjoyable. Their home was comfortable and very clean. They had a lot of well organized tourist information booklets for every regional activity and a personal book with even more recommendations. We really liked their home and it's proximity to the train station and various paths leading down the hill into town and the lake. Taking ferries to various towns and the views from the water were wonderful. We also highly recommend the summer opera season and alpine hiking in nearby Bregenz, Austria. We have wanted to visit this lake region in Germany for a long time and this was the perfect location and wonderful family to help make this happen for us. Thank you Norfords!

We spent nearly 3 weeks in Uberlingen in Aug '15 and had a wonderful time. Tim & Regine’s house is really lovely, well cared for and situated in the centre of Uberlingen so we were able to walk/cycle everywhere. There’s lots to do in the town and we spent a lot of time in the East Baths - a great place for the kids to go swimming. There were also some lovely cycle & running/walking routes along the lake. We did some day trips to Switzerland (Steim an Rhein and Rheinfall which were fab) as well as around the lake to Konstanz & Meersburg. We also did an overnight trip to Munich which I would highly recommend. Tim and his family were great hosts, leaving lots of information on what to do and see. We had lots of communication back and forth and they were really open to any of our questions as well as being very eager to make sure we had a great time. They also looked after our house very well and they appear to have settled very well into Dublin during their short time here.

We had a most enjoyable time at Bodensee. The house is a beautiful family home, renovated with much attention to detail - very, very inspiring!!! Überlingen is a perfect place for a family vacation- we definitely keep it on our "hot-spot-list"! The Norfords proved to be very flexible.
