House with garden (800sqm property) in a green suburb approx. 20km outside Stockholm city centre. 180sqm living area with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with bathtub, 1 with shower) and all household appliances (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas+ceran stove and oven, washing machine & tumble dryer & drying closet, 100 Mbps Internet). Swedish TV (international movies & series are only subtitled and come with the original audio track) and German satellite TV (with some international channels: BBC, CNBC, TV5, ...). Carport with additional storage facilities for bikes and/or sports equipment. Car exchange might be possible, to be discussed. The garden has a large, solid swing and a big trampoline with safety net. Currently, the terrace has stone tiles, but we plan to upgrade to a wooden terrace with awning this spring.

Easy connection to both downtown (40mins by commuter train incl. walk to station) and Arlanda airport. Convenience store in walking distance (10mins), several large supermarkets between 3 and 10mins by car. Mixed-age neighborhood with kids in different ages and some retired singles/couples, many with pets of all sorts.

The Stockholm archipelago provides plenty of opportunities for sailing or exploring by commuter boats, or you can take a cruise ship to Helsinki, Tallin, Riga or St. Petersburg. Easy access to golf courses (3 close by our home, another 6-8 within 20km radius), tennis court (1), running tracks, forrests with plenty of walking/hiking/biking opportunities and lakes for swimming. One of the mountain bike trails here was ranked among the top 5 in the world by Gary Fisher. Stockholm itself provides much culture, with many museums, concerts, ballet, theatre (mostly in Swedish though), and there are 8 restaurants with Michelin stars in Stockholm.

We are a very active family, enjoying various indoor/outdoor sports (golf, biking, tennis, walking/hiking, aerobics, ice skating, skiing). During the past, we have been living & working in Germany, the USA and now in Sweden. We also did travel extensively during our vacations: Australia & New Zealand, China, Middle East, Central & South America, Europe. Besides travelling, we enjoy very much cooking all sorts of international food as well as wine-tasting.

We (parents) work both full-time, one in a public-sector company and one managing a SME. While enjoying a fulfilling work life, we still manage a good work-life balance, spending much active time with our kids. As we are a half-German/half-Swedish family, curiosity and openness for other cultures is therefore woven into our family fabric.
