We really felt home in Sasha's so well decorated, cosy house! Very enjoyable stay in walking distance to Kensington and Notting Hill and only some minutes walk to plenty of buses and tube stations, London's biggest shopping mall, pubs, coffe shops, restaurants and Santander bikes, which we enjoyed using to discover Fulham, Chelsea and the Thames river. Sasha was extremely helpful during our stay and had prepared everything we needed beforehand. We loved the cats Melbourne and Sydney and hope to come back one day!

Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort

Our home is a Victorian terrace done out in a contemporary style. It is modern, beautiful, well equipped and has a small but perfectly formed garden. The street is quiet, residential, and safe, yet 2 mins walk from the shops, restaurants, train station and the tubes of Shepherds Bush.

You can get anywhere you like in London very easily - Oxford Circus is just 15mins by tube, Notting Hill just 5 minutes, or a 20 minute walk. It is also just a 15 minute walk to the river Thames. It is also easy to get out of London - Oxford is an hour's drive away, Brighton an hour and a half.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and en suite wet room. The second bedroom has a sofa bed which sleeps 2 - the bathroom is on the floor below.

We have two friendly and loving cats who need feeding (dry food only so not smelly) but are otherwise very independent. They have the run of the house during the day but at night we shut them downstairs, so you don't need to worry about them waking you up.

We have televisions in the sitting room and master bedroom, with cable channels available, and a dvd player. There is wifi throughout the house.

Beskrivning av vårt grannskap och omgivning

Shepherds Bush is a bustling, vibrant, multi-ethnic community centred around the Green. All the shops you could possibly want are within a few minutes walk - alongside all the local shops around the Green itself is the monumental Westfield London housing all the chain stores, the designer village for high fashion, Kidzania for the kids, many restaurants of every variety and a 16 screen cinema. On the southern side of the Green the smaller W12 mall hosts another cinema with another 12 screens and further games entertainments for kids. Two music venues hosting international bands - Shepherds Bush Empire and Bush Hall are within 5 minutes walk, as is the Bush Theatre hosting new and established work. Shepherds Bush market has a multitude of shops and stalls selling exotic produce from different cultures, but there are also 3 major supermarket chains within 5 minutes walk. There are restaurants and cafes to suit every taste and budget. We are extremely well connected to all parts of the city by bus, tube and train and in walking distance of the River Thames at Hammersmith, Holland Park, and Notting Hill. Two tube lines can whisk you into central and north London in less than 15 minutes and the train can get you further afield and to South London or provides an alternative route north - less than 25mins to Hampstead Heath.
