Abbey Wood is a green and quiet residential neighbourhood in Southeast London. There’re local shops and a massive supermarket (Sainsbury) for your daily shopping. If you fancy eating out, there’s a nice little pub called Abbey Arms that do delicious pizzas. We would also recommend the Taj Mahal restaurant, it’s just opposite the pub, they do authentic Indian food at affordable prices. Otherwise, there’re other cafes and takeaways to choose from. The best attraction in the area is Lesnes Abbey, a 12th-century old Norman abbey. Unfortunately, it’s now ruined but the area has been turned into a beautiful park. From the viewpoint of the park, you can enjoy the gorgeous view of the London skyline, where you can see some of the most iconic buildings in the city, such as the Shard. There’s a Sunday Market with live music there every month.
