From our house there is a short walk to the city centre of Bodø where you can find a nice harbor, shops, restaurants, theater and museums. You need less than one hours drive to reach beutiful Kjærringøy, with both culture and nature attractions. You can find one of the strongest tidal currents in the world just outside the town (Saltstraumen). From our town its also easy to reach Lofoten, by ferry, boat, car or flight. There is a lot of beutiful nature surrounding the city, both mountains, ocean, fjords and lakes. This gives you many options to explore nature related activities as hiking, montain climbing, fishing, etc.
