Vårt hem

Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort

We live in a three story house with a front and back garden, open kitchen and three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed, one has a single bed. We have a toilet downstairs and one upstairs in the bathroom/shower. Our living room has a sitting area with couch and TV, a small 'grand piano' and a dining area with dinner table that sits 6. We have a lot of art in the house because both my parents were artists.
Our back garden is south facing. There are a lot of plants and flowers, two sitting area's and a tiny, little pond. I am proud of the wildlife like hedgehogs, birds an bees that visit my garden. In the front garden there's a bench that is lovely to sit on to enjoy the shade of the tree or the evening sun.

Grannskap

Beskrivning av vårt grannskap och omgivning

Our house is located on a quiet, one way street, just outside the center of the village. People are friendly and helpful. There is a supermarket a 100 meters from the house. The village center has several outstanding restaurants, three pubs and some main shops like a supermarket, butcher and drugstore. It's a ten minute walk from our house to the river or a to a recreational area at the lakeside.

Våra tips om platser att gå och saker att göra när du bor i vårt hem

The village of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel lies in a green and rural area along the riverbanks of the Amstel river, that brings you on a 30 minute cycle all the way into Amsterdam center. In the other direction there is the Ouderkerker plas, a manmade lake (sandpit for constructing the highways) with a recreational area with a small restaurant and beach and a quiet area for birds and nature. You can take the bike on beautiful rides along the banks of the Waver river and around the Ronde hoep, the oldest polder in the world, now a birds sanctuary. The village itself holds lovely restaurants and cafe's, two churches and the famous and oldest Portuges-Jewish graveyard in Europe, Beth Haim. Nature lovers find closeby the nature reserve Botshol. A wet area with reeds and hidden canals and the clearest water. Renting a boat here is a real adventure!
Our house is very well located with good connections by public transport. With the bus and the metro it takes half an hour to get to Amsterdam center. At Bijlmer station, 7 minutes by bus, you can take the train to anywhere. Schiphol airport is only 20 minutes away, by car or by bus.
By car it's only half an hour to the beach. We love to go to Wijk aan Zee but Zandvoort or Bloemendaal aan zee are also nice. The Dunes, (Waterleidingduinen) are a beautiful nature and walking area south of Haarlem. Haarlem itself is also worth visiting.

Våra preferenser

Vad vi gillar, vad vi inte gillar ... Här är våra preferenser och husregler.

We like you to treat our home the way you would treat your own. We have lovely neighbours and we like them to stay happy.
You can bring your dog only if it is used to cats. Our cats are mostly outside and are used to our dog, but I don't want them to be chased or scared.
We like to bring our dog with us on holidays if possible. She is a 2.5 year old, friendly, very social, mid-size dog which is used to cats.
