Our holiday house is a comfortable home with spectacular views of Lake Tarawera and Mt Tarawera.
We are adjacent to the lake famed for trout fishing and water activities with stairs leading down to our own jetty. Trout fishing is enjoyed all year round at our doorstep along with lots of walks and outdoor activities. A single and double canoe and life jackets are available for your use.

Rotorua is often referred to as a thermal wonderland and is twenty minutes away. It is a small city with shopping, cafes, gardens, museum, art gallery and many natural hot pools. To the east, one hours drive takes you to sunny seaside Mt Maunganui and Tauranga. South of Rotorua is Lake Taupo with walks, shopping, cafes and boating. Taupo is just an hour and a half away and is the gateway to the ski slopes of Mt Ruapehu and the mountains in the centre of the North Island.

Our holiday house is a quiet sanctuary within easy driving distance of the many attractions of the Rotorua area. On the road to Lake Tarawera there the Redwood Forest and Visitors Centre with the new tree top walk, Blue Lake which is nice to walk around and the Buried Village.
In the immediate vicinity of Lake Tarawera there is swimming and boating/kayaking on the lake, lots of walks, Hot Water beach (accessible by water taxi), Tarawera Falls (water taxi and hike) and a cute Airstream Cafe a couple minutes drive along the road. At our house there are beautiful views, bush and bird song!
