Escape to our delightful Cordyline Point guest studio, a hidden gem that promises a memorable retreat all year round. Perched on the slopes of Charteris Bay above Lyttelton Harbour, this tranquil sanctuary is a mere 40-minute drive from downtown Christchurch, offering awe-inspiring views that will leave you enchanted.

We offer the studio for stays of 4 nights or longer, until the beginning of December 2024.
Kindly note that our studio is not suitable for children. Designed to provide a peaceful and intimate experience, it is perfectly suited for two adults only.

The Space:
Designed with discerning travellers in mind, our guest studio caters to the needs of friends and relatives visiting from around the globe. We understand the importance of advanced comforts, ample desk space, and reliable telecommunication infrastructure while on the move. Hence, these elements were incorporated into our architect's brief, ensuring that they are now available to you as well.

Whether your journey is for leisure or work, we have left no stone unturned in providing a space that accommodates every requirement, regardless of the weather. The studio is self-contained, with its own private entrance, terrace, and access to the pool. It boasts a convenient kitchenette equipped with a convection microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.

In the en-suite bathroom, you'll find a washing machine and dryer at your disposal, ensuring your wardrobe remains presentable throughout your stay.

Bed/Desk:
The comfortable double bed measures 190cm x 135cm. If you require ample desk space for work purposes, the bed can be effortlessly folded up, revealing a desk that seamlessly slides into position. No need to clear the desk before utilizing the bed — it remains level throughout the process.

Communication Facilities:
For your convenience, the studio has its own direct dial phone number. Calls to fixed lines (landlines) in most countries, including Europe and North America, are not charged. Complimentary WiFi is available, and if necessary, we can provide additional wired LAN sockets. The studio is also equipped with a TV for free-to-view NZ terrestrial DTV, as well as an Apple TV unit connected to the television.

Heating/Ventilation/Cooling:
To ensure your comfort year-round, the studio is equipped with an indoor climate control system. Radiators and infra-red heaters are also installed for additional warmth. The pool terrace boasts an overhead infra-red heater, creating a cosy ambiance for extended evenings spent outdoors.

Swimming Pool:
From November to March, weather permitting, the swimming pool is heated for your enjoyment. It features two counter-current jets, allowing for easy stationary swimming.

Guest Access:
While the studio is part of the main house, it is self-contained with a separate formal entrance and a dedicated pool terrace door that grants access to the heated swimming pool. If we, your hosts, are on-site during your stay, you are welcome to utilize other areas of our house, such as the dining and kitchen spaces.

Check-in and check-out times are flexible and tailored to your needs. We understand that flight details may necessitate very early or late arrivals and departures, and we are happy to accommodate accordingly.
