A lovely home which proved a perfect place to experience rural life in the Netherlands, and also a great base for visiting interesting cities. Public transport links were easy to access and we used bicycle and the train to visit cities nearby. The cycle ferries across the local rivers are a fun way to get around. Local towns had great hospitality - and we enjoyed our visits to the excellent local bakers. Thank-you to the whole family for making us feel so welcome.

The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The house itself is full of character and is in a great location and we enjoyed taking care of the cats and chickens. All the big tourist attractions are about an hour away or less but there is lots to do in the local area.

We loved the location, quiet apart from the regular barrages travelling up and down the river, which were fascinating. Cats and chickens the high light of the trip. Lovely quiet area really enjoyed our visit.

We hadden opnieuw een leuke vakantie in jullie gezellige huis. Deze keer wat meer tijd om dingen te doen en te bezichtigen. We hebben genoten van fietstochtjes langs de Waal en in het dorp, fietsen naar Leerdam, bezoek aan Zaltbommel, slot Loevestein,... Echt een mooie streek om te ontdekken. Bedankt nog voor de fijne welkomstattenties en de goede zorgen voor ons huis!

This region was a great discovery for us. This very cosy house is located at the border of the Waal, from where we could immediately start biking on the cycling network, which passes along many beautiful houses. Super to see many storks on their nests. We spent some time in Zaltbommel, and made many stops allong the Waal, so the children could play on the beaches. Thanks for the welcoming us so kindly in your house. The children were really fond of the cats, and of the 'treehouse' bed. We would love to come back another time, and explore the region some more.
