Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort

This home is perfect for those who want to get away from it all but still be able to have it all within 10 minutes should the mood change. The home is a semi-detached (duplex) nestled into a quiet cove that appears to be far removed from the city but is actually centrally located within the city. Convenient to buses, bike trails, recreation centre and shopping. The neighbourhood area is a destination in itself with either a beach or park at the end of every street. Easy access to the local attractions of Victoria BC. Some attractions are within walking distance. I have had a some repeat exchanges so people must be happy with my location. The home is surrounded by beautiful scenery in all directions. Being centrally located you are able to access all the conveniences of urban living within walking distance. The nearby recreation centre has warm salt water pools, a "lazy river", sauna, hot tub and an outdoor kids water park.

This is a no pets home currently. There are house plants and a yard that needs occasional watering. I am able to work remotely within B.C., so my schedules can be flexible within B.C.

For the remainder of 2024, looking for exchanges for Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Whistler, coastal islands and Hawaii. Open for 2025.

Our home may seem like it is 100 kilometers from anywhere but it is in right the middle of the city. Only 10 minutes to downtown. The neighbourhood is over 100 years old with homes from just about every decade from the Edwardian era through to the present. We back onto Saxe Point Park. The house looks out to the Olympic National Park across the strait of Juan de Fuca. There is a recreation centre about three blocks away. There two groceries stores within walking distance. Grocery stores will deliver too. You can walk to downtown via the West Bay Walkway along the ocean. Along the route there is a brew pub along with a couple of fantastic restaurants. If you've indulged too much, you can always take a little "pickle boat" home back to the West Bay marina or sail directly to the Empress Hotel or just finish your walk to downtown.

Våra tips om platser att gå och saker att göra när du bor i vårt hem

Our home is only 10 minutes away from downtown. There are lots of attractions within walking distance but also numerous others throughout Victoria. Most are within 30 minutes. The world famous Butchart Gardens are about 35 minutes away, the Inner Harbour 10 minutes away, Beacon Hill Park 10 minutes, West Bay Walk Way 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. We are near the Canadian Naval base so you will always see a variety of naval ships sail by from submarines to destroyers. There is a boat launch nearby that charges a nominal fee to launch your boat so you may want to bring your boat with you if you are coming by ferry from the mainland. There is good fishing nearby. If you have a kayak, you can launch it in the park behind the house.

Non-smokers only. The home and surrounding area is not suitable for toddlers. If you have children they should be older. Although this is a three bedroom house one bedroom has been converted into an office. So there are only two bedrooms for sleeping.
