If you are interested in a holiday, in a French and North American atmosphere, then Quebec city and its surroundings will please you. Quebec city is one of the UNESCO world heritage treasures and the oldest city North of Mexico .According to recent surveys of readers published in the well known magazine Travel and Leisure,Quebec city ranks 3rd among the most interesting places (19th in the world)to visit in North America, after New-York and San Francisco (Montreal is 9 th).
During the summer, the old walled city or « Quartier Latin » is full of musical and cultural attractions, some free, in the streets, some others, in theaters or open air setting in the Old port. You will find, in Quebec, one of the finest cuisine in North America ,surprising views, superb walking tour and points of interest, and lots of museums, such as the Musée des Beaux Arts du Québec and the Musée des Civilisations, this last one being world famed for his educational approach to the evolution of human society.

Beskrivning av vårt grannskap och omgivning
We live in a quiet recreational area, 15 minutes North by car, from downtown old Quebec. It is a superb skiing place (alpine or cross country), quite active in summer with small boats, windsurfing, swimming, canoeing and bicycling. You will also have access to our community owned-pool (access up to september 1 with a key), located in a wooded park in front of our home. We live in a thirthy years old neighbourhood. Our home has been renovated many times. We are open to exchange our camping car with an exchanger, owner of a camping car.
You may walk every day to a liquor store, a pharmacy, and a supermarket. We are interested in exchanging our car too and to weekend (3 to 4 days)exchanges in the eastern areas of Canada or USA.

Våra tips om platser att gå och saker att göra när du bor i vårt hem
Out of Quebec city, you may go fisching or walking in the « Parc de la Vallée de la Jacques Cartier» or canoeing on lake Beauport, near our home. You may spend a day or two on the «Ile d'Orléans», which is a jewel of old rural life still going on. You could also enjoy the Charlevoix region which is a picturesque road among valleys along the St-Lawrence river with charming inns and home-made cuisine. From there, you have access to the Parc des Grands-Jardins, where you may walk in unique ecological foot trails. Or just make a trip to the well known Gaspesia peninsula.
You may also drive by car to Montreal (a 3 hours ride),the second largest french city in the world. You don't need to speak French . Lots of people here speak English and will be pleased to help you, if necessary. We try to do the same with new potential partners. You could use our complete home book and many touristic documents, based on our 30 exchanges since 1989.
