The cottage was a short walk down to the water and the dock area provided the option of shade or sun, with lots of chairs, lounges, tables etc. The use of the canoe provided easy transport into the local town of Port Carling, and it was only a short half hour walk into town. Swimming was great and we were able to hire a boat for wake boarding from nearby Cleveland House. The boat, instructor and equipment pulled up to our dock, which made everything so easy. Overall it provided a nice base from which to explore nearby Bracebridge and Bala. Also the screened in porch allowed us to enjoy all weather, with no insects. Washer and dryer conveniently located near the water which made doing laundry a pleasure.Table tennis set up in the boat house was also a nice addition. Also some old school horseshoes were fun as well.
