We live in the beautiful and green city of North Vancouver, a short 20 minute drive or a 30 minute bus ride from downtown Vancouver (City centre), home to the local mountains, Grouse, Cypress and Seymour which are popular for skiing and snow shoeing in winter and hiking and mountain biking pretty much all year round. Our home is a short 5 minute walk away from the main street, Lonsdale street that is lined with restaurants, cafes, bakeries and shops. The bus stop is less than 5 minutes from the house. Whistler, one of the worlds top ski resorts is less than 2 hours drive from our house. Whistler is also popular during the warmer months for great hiking trails and other mountain summer sports, and not to mention for great restaurant and shopping at the beautiful Whistler village. There are endless hiking trails and beautiful walks by the coast around the area accessible by car or bus, most of them in under 15 minutes. North Vancouver and Vancouver in general is a multicultural city and that is very clearly reflected in the type of restaurants we have in this city and there are so many great ones to choose from.
