Beskrivning av hemmet vi erbjuda att byta bort

We live in a bright and warm house, it is welcoming and comfortable. We have 2800 sq ft of space and are situated on a 4 acre site. There is lawn to the front, and a patio to the immediate rear with 3 acres of young trees completing the planting. There is also a large walled vegetable garden and large greenhouse where a glass of wine can be enjoyed or fruit and vegetables harvested depending on the season. There are views from all aspects. Sheep and cows graze in nearby fields and in the evening deer can be seen coming out of the woods to graze. Scenic walks are almost compulsory, and we live on a quiet country road where there is minimal traffic. We do have a springer spaniel dog and 3 hens all of which would be taken care of in our absence. The dog is a working dog and does not enter the house. Smoking is not permitted in the house.
We live 8km from Loughrea town centre, in the foothills of the Slieve Aughty mountains. Baile Locha Riach (Irish) meaning town of the grey lake, lies on the southern shores of the lake - Lough Rea. The town was founded in 1236 by an anglo-saxon Richard de Burgo; and remains a bustling market town with the only still functioning medievel town moat in Ireland. This can best be seen along a charming 18th century mall known simply as "the walks".

Lough Rea is ideal for swimming, wind surfing and boating. It has for many years earned the coveted European environmental "Blue Flag" status. Awarded for the excellent water quality and well maintained shoreline, it is one of a handful of lakes to earn this distinction. The long point swimming area is well equipped with changing rooms, showers, ample parking and picnic areas. The town has multiple restaurants to appeal to all tastes. There are many pubs in which to experience live music and soak up the atmosphere and we are well located to travel to all surrounding towns and villages. There is also a 4* hotel in Loughrea with an award winning spa. We are 30 minutes from the atlantic ocean and Galway city. A vibrant university town; population ~ 70,000. It is well renowned for its lively arts, music, theatre and festival scene. Exploration of the west coast of Ireland is to be recommended with access to County Clare famous for its unique limestone ecosystem in the Burren less than an hour away. Connemara with its scenery, mountains and lakes is just the other side of Galway city and a trip to the Aran Islands is a wonderful day out the ferry leaves from the port in Galway.. Multiple golf courses are a short drive away - Loughrea, Gort, Athenry, Portumna, and Oranmore to name the most local. Loughrea being just off the M6 motorway means a short 2 hours will bring you to Dublin for the day and Shannon airport is less than an hour from the house.

It is important that we find the house neat and tidy upon our return. We would leave all tea/ coffee/ seasonings for use but would ask that if you finish anything you replace it. Our garden produce is available for use during your stay. The entrance gates are to be closed at all times to prevent livestock entering the grounds. We are actually a 5 bedroom house with one room locked to store our belongings. Our bathrooms consist of 2 full bathrooms and 1 cloakroom - toilet and hand-basin.
