Situated right at the northern edge of Friesland, as rural as it gets in the Netherlands, is this renovated cottage, which we absolutely loved. We did walks along the picturesque Waddenzee, starting right nextdoor, and good pubs, stores and restaurants are also surprisingly closeby. The city of Leeuwarden (a 10 minute drive away) provides one with all the mundane entertainment if the quiet countryside gets a little too quiet. We would like to come back sometime. A wonderful exchange, super communication throughout and a gorgeous place to stay. The apartment is beautifully situated, comfortable, stylish, very well-equipped, and really quiet, with lovely views over the water. KNSM Island has excellent access to all the delights of Amsterdam, whether you are a walker, a cyclist or use public transport. Delighted to meet our hosts as we crossed over at St Pancras International, and would love to exchange with you again one day!

We had a wonderful exchange with Tinda. The apartment is situated in a great location, so near city center and yet away from the crowds. We enjoyed sitting on Erno's balcony and watching the boats pass by. The island is just perfect for lovely walks around it. A good selection of shops and restaurants are all near by. We took a day trip to Rotterdam , a city worth visiting. We hired bikes and really explored outside the city of Amsterdam. The bikes were great fun and we saw places not on tourists maps. Erno met us on arrival and gave us a warm welcome. We have been planning this trip with Tinda for two years so it was great to met such a wonderful lady at last. To add to our enjoyment we had wonderful weather. so everything was perfect. Thank you Erno and Tinda.

The hut is so extremely cosy that actually I didn't want to leave anymore. Moreover, the view and setting had a very calming effect on us. Definitely very happy that we stayed there. We also met Tinda, which is certainly a nice asset as it enlarges the positive feeling amongst Homelinkers.

We stayed at this wonderful hide-out in Amsterdam, close to the waterside. The apartment had a fantastic loving care feeling, and we felt instantly at home. The view on the water (with some cruise ships now and then) was smashing. We loved taking the free ferry to the city center, which is very close. We also loved being and walking in Amsterdam-North, an upcoming area. Thank you very much for your great hospitality.

We really appreciated our stay in this comfortably appartment. Situated in North Amsterdam (IJ-side). It's far away from the crowd and yet it has very easy access to the city center. We visited Amsterdam several times before, but it was our first stay in this part of the city. We enjoyed discovering Amsterdam Noord with its very good restaurants at the waterfront. With the very hot summer temperatures (30°) we enjoyed sitting outside, at the waterfront, until almost midnight, and than after only 10 minutes walk be back in Tinda's lovely appartment. Tinda gave us lots of very good hints on what to visit etc. Tinda, thanks a lot for being such a good host and for letting us live this wonderful expercience.

Tinda was a great host. We really appreciated the ideal location of the Waddenhut. This part of Holland was totally new to us, but with Tinda's indications we were able to explore Noord Holland very easily. The wheather was exceptionnally hot, around 30°, but at the seaside we really enjoyed it a lot, no need to go to the southern part of europe with these temperatures. The Waddenhut has a nice little garden where we enjoyed relaxing in the shade, also ideal for our lovely dog Max. He also really felt at home. Lots of opportunities for dog-friendly walks. Every evening we enjoyed the beautiful sunset from the hut. We would definitely love to go back to the Waddenhut one day. Thanks a lot Tinda and Erno, also for taking good care of our home, plants and chicken.

We had a lovely exchange in Tinda's peaceful appartment in north Amsterdam. The appartment was very comfortable and we appreciated the really good kitchen and access to good shopping. We spent some very pleasant evenings relaxing over a leisuely meal 'at home' watching the traffic on the waterway after a busy day sightseeing. The location is excellent. The appartment is just 15 minutes from Central Station. That 15 minutes involves 8 minutes on a ferry and 7 minutes walking on the banks of the river taking in the sights, smells and sounds of the wild meadow walkway and and the activties on the water. It was a lovely way to leave the city behind

Exchanging with Tinda has been a wonderful experience. Her apartment is comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well located. She gave us really good tips regarding museums, canals and food –she is a cook-. And when we came back to our own apartment… she had cooked and freezed a couple of yummy dishes for us. That was the best treat for two foodies like us. Thank you! We really enjoyed Amsterdam.
