Comfortable house near historic city.
On the ground level we have a hall, toilet, living room and a kitchen as well as a small garden (sunny side of the house). On the 1st floor is the master bedroom, the bathroom and a laundry. The 2nd floor has a large bedroom with king size bed and a small bedroom with single bed and lavabo. There is also a cellar and an attic.
We are located at about 10 min. (by public transport) from downtown Ghent, which is a beautiful historic city in Flanders/Belgium.
You can easily reach Bruges (40 min. by car), Brussels (easy access by train - 45 min.), Antwerp and many other places of interest.
Flanders offers a wide range of tourist attractions.
Paris (France), Amsterdam (The Netherlands), London (United Kingdom) and Cologne (Germany) are within easy reach.
We are non-smokers and have no pets.
As experienced exchangers we have exchanged our house 23 times before with partners from Australia, France, Germany, The Netherlands, England, Norway, Denmark and Spain.

Our neighborhood is rather quiet and situated at about 3 km (2 miles) from downtown Ghent. There is a bus stop in the street which brings you to the centre in about 10 minutes. Ghent is a beautiful historic city in Flanders. You will find museums, theatres, an opera, a cathedral, the university and many historic buildings (middle ages), parks, shops, etc. There is a variety of excellent restaurants. Belgium is famous for its cuisine.
In our vicinity you can find the most important businesses like a butcher/caterer, a baker, a greengrocer's shop, a shoemaker, a supermarket, a chemist and family doctor.
From here you can visit the well-known Bruges (30 min. by car/train), Antwerp (40 min.), Brussels (our capital, 45 min.) and many other places of interest.
In our neighborhood there is a new swimming-pool with wildwater course and other sporting facilities like tennis, basket-ball, etc., wellness, sauna and restaurant.
Our bicycles are at your disposal.

During the week of the 21st of July is the famous Festival of Ghent (Gentse Feesten), which means a lot of music, theatre, markets and lots to eat and drink in the streets and places of downtown Ghent - every day until late at night. The historic centre is then free of traffic.
Ghent has a lot of events all year round. We will provide the calendar for the time of your stay.
