We're a mature couple (Bee and Derek), very experienced and enthusiastic home swappers. The concept has brought us many new friends and provided opportunities to explore some wonderful places; often far away from the usual tourist haunts. Unfortunately COVID prevented us from exchanging for 2 years, but this June, we had 3 fabulous exchanges in Spain.... and are now ready for more travels. We're looking for exchanges in England/London and Europe but can be tempted to other destinations.
Derek is District Manager of a Multi-national engineering company whilst Bee works in PR. We're both very active and love the outdoors: hiking, biking, swimming, snorkelling, rock climbing (just Derek!) and exploring new environments; both cities and country areas.
We are originally from the UK but long term residents of Australia. We've travelled extensively..... lived in Bahrain, Japan and the US... and still enjoy the adventures it provides. We're open to offers and respond promptly to messages.

Our waterfront home with pool is located between beaches, river, mountains and close to a world class golf course. The house is filled with natural light and has an open-plan design incorporating a granite/stainless steel kitchen, living area, indoor/outdoor dining areas plus a terrace overlooking the pool and lake. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a separate office, double garage and air-conditioning. Watch some spectacular sunsets from our deck. Non-simultaneous exchanges are no problem as we have a second home in Brisbane.
To make the most of your visit, a car will be necessary. Ours is an automatic, air-conditioned 2021 Hyundai Kona compact SUV and could be available. There is easy access to Brisbane, Noosa and Maroochydore. We are close to Sunshine Coast Airport which has regular services by Virgin and Jetstar direct to Sydney and Melbourne as well as seasonal Air New Zealand flights to Auckland and Adelaide. Brisbane International Airport is an hour away with a shuttle bus service to our home.

Twin Waters has abundant walking tracks and bicycle paths. Just a few minutes walk from our home is the Twin Waters Golf course, an eighteen hole championship course, listed in the top 50 Australian golf courses. Dozens of wild kangaroos can be seen grazing on the course at the end of the day. For avid golfers there are three other major golf courses in the area. We are close to pristine Mudjimba and Discovery beaches, whilst 10 minutes drive gets you to Mooloolaba and Maroochydore; 25 minutes to Noosa and 1 hour to Brisbane.

The Sunshine Coast has many restaurants, excellent shopping - including the markets of Eumundi and the craft stores of the mountain villages - fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, sailing and other sporting facilities. A 30 minute drive will take you to the hinterland where the Blackall Range provides some of the most dramatic terrain in southern Queensland with spectacular views of mountains, valleys and rainforests to the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. World Heritage Fraser Island, three hours north, is not to be missed with its golden beaches, hardwood forests, pristine rainforests and crystal clear lakes. Whilst Hervey Bay, two hours north, is visited each year by Humpback Whales which can be seen in action during the months of August to October.
