Our spacious 3 bedroom plus study home overlooks a canal at Banksia Beach on Bribie Island which has bridge access to the mainland. We are located 1 hours drive from the Brisbane International Airport and from Brisbane city centre. Large open plan living area / dining/ kitchen, separate lounge area, ensuited bedroom with king-size bed, second bedroom with queen size bed, study, laundry, covered outdoor living and dining areas with tropical gardens. All modern conveniences including Miele appliances. The third bedroom space is setup with a sofa bed, tv, and exercise bike. Ladies and gents golf clubs are available to use.
A 10 minute walk takes you to the Pumicestone Passage which is the sea that separates the island and mainland. There are parks and calm beaches for fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming, bird watching, picnicing, cycling. A 15 minute drive takes you across the island to the surf beaches.
The Sunshine Coast is an hour's drive, and the Gold Coast is 2 hours drive.

Bribie Island is fairly flat, has many beaches, and it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to get to anywhere. It is very popular for its relaxed and peaceful lifestyle. It is quite easy to be self sufficient as all the facilities of modern living are here. It is only a half hour drive to the train station linking Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts. There is a bridge which provides vehicle and walking access to the mainland.
We are spoilt having 2 quality golf clubs on the island. Our local golf course, Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club offers excellent facilities as well as a very attractive and challenging course. There are also several bowls clubs, a surf club, and Services club - all of which offer dining and other facilities.
The weather is pleasant all year round with summer breezes usually keeping the temperature about 28 - 30 degrees celsius during the day, while in winter the temperature usually ranges 18 - 23 degrees celsius. You will see beautiful blue skies, golden sandy beaches, boats, and wildlife.

It is a short walk to the nearest beach where you can stroll along the waters edge of the Pumicestone Passage enjoying the birdlife, picnic and barbeque facilities. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and dolphins frolicking. There is also a ferry offering day trips in the Passage. Golf and bowls clubs are both a 3 minute drive away, as is the local shopping centre which includes a supermarket.
It is about a 7 minute drive in to the main shopping area of Bribie Island, and about 15 minutes drive to the surf beach. It is very easy to walk or cycle anywhere.
Australia Zoo is a 40 minute drive to Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast. The hilly hinterland has lovely villages, including Montville, Maleny and Mapleton. Noosa and Mooloolaba are an easy drive for a day's outing. An hour and a half drive takes you to the theme parks at the northern end of the Gold Coast.
Brisbane has many attractions including Southbank Parklands, riverside, theatres, galleries, museum, shopping
