11 mar 2017 - 19 mar 2017Al and I had a very welcome spring holiday from the winter in Vancouver, to the Oyler's family home in Austin, Texas. The lovely view from the kitchen window and the leafy backyard was especially welcome as spring comes early to Texas! The home and neighbourhood was a great base from which to visit the entire area which offered many riverside walks and country roads. The wildflowers were a special treat along the wide highways. We were able to include visits to Dallas and San Antonio and learn a lot of the history of the state, as well as of the USA. The Oyler's home was very easy and comfortable to live in and we recommend it to other Homelink members.
