From the dining/living room you can see the tide ebb and flow and watch the sun rise and sun set. There's a clear view across the bay of the hills of Clare, the Burren and Tawin Island. If you are in to golf we have Galway Bay Golf Resort, if you like the sea we have Galway Bay Sailing Club where you can hire boats or take sailing lessons, Renville Park with it's beautiful forest walks. If you enjoy tennis there are public hours at Maree Tennis Club. Or if you prefer coastal walks, yoga/mindfulness/meditation sessions, they are on your door step.
Maree and Oranmore have numerous ring forts, wells, castles and a portal dolmen (next door to you) which dates to megalithic times.
The City of Galway (European Capital of Culture for 2020) hosts numerous festivals throughout the year and is located 15km from the house. It’s a 25 mins drive or 8 mins train ride from Oranmore.
