Two newly retired teachers, Jurgen with Maths/English, Yvonne with Art/Japanese. We have two daughters living away from home now and we love to travel to interesting places and meet wonderful people. We have had many exchanges and loved them all. Yvonne is an artist and Jurgen loves both cycling and motor biking. We are travelling with company for some of the time: to Paris with one daughter and her family (3 of them): and to Cadiz/ Barcelona with another teaching couple, the rest of the time we are just 2.

Tropical artist's pole home with loft amid 2.5 acres fruit trees. Innisfail town minutes away on 2 beautiful rivers, Art Deco with cafes, markets & shopping. Close to all resorts: Cairns, Tablelands & Mission Beach.
We are looking to visit Europe from April 2019 and are open to all European offers Dec 2018-June 2019

Our immediate neighbourhood is near the beach and rainforest. Plenty of wild life to be seen and a glorious beach to relax at with cafe and facilities. We are 10 mins from the town of Innisfail where you can do and see most things. Situated between Cairns, Mission Beach and the tablelands we are within easy reach of so many tourist spots. Go fishing, golfing, canopy walks, boating, diving on the reef, visit islands, hike, Spanish ruins ( yes!) shopping, restaurants etc.

Våra tips om platser att gå och saker att göra när du bor i vårt hem
Walk to the Etty Bay beach through the rainforest. Have a cappuccino and watch the cassowaries go by. Photograph the butterflies and the birds. Enjoy a morning swim without the crowds. Take the morning bus into town and try a historical walk, see the Art Deco buildings and watch the fishing boats. Take a car and drive to Cairns and go to the zoo, movies, or to the giant fig tree on the Tablelands. Your choice.
