  Dear future Homelinker, if you should have the chance to swap with Michael and Louise, be sure to have the most wonderful vacation. The house is set among lavish tropical greens, butterflies will circle your breakfast table, while friendly green little lizards eye down on you from surrounding palm trees, and beautiful peacocks majestically marche the surrounding streets. We felt in paradise. Everything else that has been written by earlier homelink visitors is absolutely true so that I feel there is no need to repeat it here. Our favourites were: amazing Old Cutler Road, Farmers Market on Sundays (do go, even though it doesn't sound much, it is worth the trip), Crandon Park Beach on Key Biscayne (beautiful), Wynwood Arts District with Wynwood walls (be in for lots of delightful surprises), Butterfly World near Ft. Lauderdale (highly recommendable, with and without kids, and worth every single dollar), snorkeling at John Pennekamp Coral Reef Park and of course the trip along the keys. Thank you for a grand time, Michael and Louise.

• 2 great and peaceful weeks in Miami

  We spend a wonderful week in the peaceful home of the Davidson family in South Miami. We enjoyed the large spaces in the house with its beautiful swimmning pool and confortable terrasse. We had a large number of visits and trips in Florida in the neighborhood and there are lots to see and do, the ride into Miami downtown is with approx. 45 minutes by train and it is very convenient since the train station is close - about 15 minutes by walk. The car we exchanged was very clean and easy to drive. Thanks to the very good weather, we were able to discover lots of different things in Florida and Miami. A huge thanks for the great 2 weeks to Davidson's for your hospitality and kindness. We found our house perfectly in shape we let it when we left. thanks a lot. MERCI! • A fabulous base for an amazing holiday

  We had a fantastic holiday in Miami thanks, in no small part, to the Davidson-Schmichs and the location of their lovely home. Living in South Miami meant a short car journey to the beach at Mattheson Hammock Park (via the gorgeous Old Cutler Road) and easy drives to Coral Gables, Vizcaya and Coconut Grove. A little further afield and we were soaking up the atmosphere and the cortados in Little Havana, Down Town, Wynwood and South Beach. Trips to the Everglades, Cape Canaveral and Universal too! The house was great to return to after a day's sightseeing - clean, spacious, cool and with a fabulous covered, fan cooled terrace by the pool, where we ate all our meals. We'd go back tomorrow!
