One-bedroom condo, available to swap for all OR PART of Fall '18--flexible. I want to spend the fall in New York for my sabbatical, and will trade for Oct.-Dec., or just one or two months if that's the only offer.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving

The St. Leo/Midtown neighborhood is conveniently close to downtown San Jose and located very near to bus routes; convenient to major highways; and is an 18-minute walk to Diridon Train Station, which will get you all over the Bay Area, including San Francisco. I'm also a short walk to the light rail. The neighborhood is a mix of apartments, houses and businesses, urban in that California, not-high-rise way. It's not a tourist destination, but rather, a good base of operations if you need to be in San Jose, where rents are astronomical.

San Jose is not really a tourist destination--people go elsewhere in the Bay Area for that. Of course, it's the capital of Silicon Valley, the high tech center of the world. If you're coming here; it's probably for business or family reasons.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...

Cigarette smokers can use the balcony. Try not to burn the place down! The apartment is not suitable for more than a single or a couple, I'm afraid, but it's got everything you need, I think. The plants are mostly succulents and ought to be watered once a week, but if they die I'll buy new ones. I have no animals.
