Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de Nicole et Luc. Nous avons pu profiter de la plage et surtout du restaurant 'Les voiles', qui propose du poissons frais et varié tous les jours. La maison est bien située, proche de la plage, facilement joignable en vélo (gentiment mis à disposition par Nicole et Luc). Un seul bémol : le bruit de la pompe de la piscine qui fonctionne continuellement 24/24H. Si on a l'habitude de dormir avec la fenêtre ouverte, mieux vaut se prémunir d'une protection auditive type boules Quies!

We spent a nice time in spring, in the lovely house of Luc and Nicole in Portiragnes. A quiet place near the sea. We had good time walking or cycling all along the "Canal du Midi" and the cycle tracks. Very peaceful in the evening on the sunny terrace!

We spent a beautiful quiet off-season spring time in Nicole's and Luc's holiday home in Portiragne. Though we wanted to look around so much, we became more lazy every day . Top was the morning bakery, which came by car and brought fresh bread and Croisson. Another thing we never missed was the evening walk along the sea to the beach bar. With the oysters and regional Picpoule white wine we let the sun go down. As ambitious walkers and users of public traffic we managed to walk to the winery and restaurant in the close by Portiragne village and come back by bus. Two times we also managed to visit by bus the old town of Beziers. We looked around in every corner of this little town and enjoyed their effort to bring it back to the old beauty.

No more into a traffic jam to the Mediterranean!!!

The house has a private parking in front of it.
The comfortably furnished home (46m2) is suitable for a family (2 adults and 2 children).
The residence has a swimming pool, open from june to september.
The residence is closed and only accessible with a pin code.
Our holiday home is not available in july and august.
AUTOROUTES A9 - A75 at 13km (18')
AIRPORT BEZIERS - CAP D'AGDE at 7km (12') - RYANAIR + RENTAL CAR availability.
RAILWAY STATION BEZIERS TGV at 15km (20') + RENTAL CAR availability.

Portiragnes-Plage is a village at the coast, 15km from the town of Béziers.
The house is situated within walking distance of the beach. (600m)
You'll find no high-rise buildings, but you are surrounded by vineyards and unspoiled nature.
The big attraction remains primarily the Mediterranean Sea and its sunny beaches. The flat beaches and lagoons of Languedoc-Roussillon bathe in the sun.
Near Portiragnes-Plage flows the "Canal du Midi",where you can cycle and walk safely along the canal.

The wide sandy beach is within walking distance of the property.

At the beach you can find some bars and restaurants.

During the summer months there is a permanent rescue and there are clearly defined areas for swimming and water sports (sailing, surfing, jet ski).Portiragnes-Plage obtains yearly the blue flag (http://www.pavillonbleu.org/) through its extensive efforts in the fields of safety, cleanliness and hygiene.

Near Portiragnes-Plage is the "Canal du Midi", where you can and cycle and walk safely.

The flat beaches and lagoons of Languedoc-Roussillon belong to a region bathing in the sun.

The Languedoc-Roussillon has a rich and comprehensive historical past.
The great amphitheater in Nîmes and the magnificent Pont du Gard are still a testimony of the Roman presence in the area.
The monasteries of St-Martin-du-Canigou, St-Michel-de-Cuxa and Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert are examples of early Romanesque architecture. The Cathar castles and the city of Carcassonne are significant relics of the Middle Ages.
