Our home is a restored 18th C farmhouse surrounded by a 180 tree traditional cider apple orchard. The French country interior is a mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings. The master bedroom includes a private bath and the second bedroom has three single beds and a separate bathroom. We are a 10 minute drive from the market town where on Saturday mornings everyone meets for the wonderful farmers market. In under 2 hours you can travel to Paris on a direct train, so it is easy to make a day of sightseeing and still come home to calm cool evenings in the countryside. You will love the rolling hills and charming villages in the Calvados region and its local cuisine using apples, cream, cider and cheeses.
We are close to the D-Day beaches and the Normandy coast, with the beautiful towns of Honfleur, Deauville and Houlgate only 40 minutes away. The local cider and cheese routes will be an excellent introduction to the local culture and people. Ours is a peaceful and authentic getaway anytime from May to the end of October
Our listing shows maximum capacity for exceptional exchanges. Most exchanges will be in ONE OF OUR HOUSES and NOT INCLUDE all 3. It is then usual that we only exchange our main house that is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps 5. We can also exchange another that sleeps 5 but has 1 bathroom if we are home and it is non-simultaneous.
We are interested in New York City, and also the Maine coast, Ireland, Cornwal, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Florence... We also have a little house in Montmartre for exceptional exchanges or August weekly rental. We have very little free time to travel and I may not get back to offers that do not correspond to our wish list. Happy traveling!
