Our neighbourhood is known as The Hood. It is full of families, artists, and our local park (MacLean) is known as the neighbourhood's living room in the summer months. There is an Italian Market kitty corner to our home for groceries; a Portugese Market down the road (2 blocks) for morning baking, coffee and grocery items, several restaurants, on the bus route, close to the skytrain station, China Town, Downtown, and the seawall. The home is steps away from the bike route to downtown Vancouver or Commercial Drive and beyond. It is Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood so the homes are all heritage character houses. The North Shore mountains are a 20 minute car ride; the sea is a 13 minute walk to the sea wall; it is close to Science World (15 minute walk).
