Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
Our home is the main floor of a modest, updated 2 bed character home in beautiful North Vancouver, British Columbia. We have a suite in our basement where our daughter lives while she is at school. She will be available if you need help while you are in our home. We are business owners of 2 local popular cafes and Jackie is a Laboratory Technologist. Our home is on the Northshore mountains overlooking the city of Vancouver. We are close to excellent public transportation with the Seabus into downtown Vancouver a 20 min walk or 5 min busride away. Lots of places for walking and hiking and the famous North Shore mountain biking is 5 to 10 minutes away. We also have 2 e-bikes to use. We have a cat and a 2 year old VERY friendly Golden Retriever. We can have our daughter tend the animals if you wish.

We are in a lovely, quiet and established neighbourhood with great neighbours. Our home has a view of the local inlet and surrounding city. We have a large, private backyard with a large partially covered deck equipped with propane bbq and heater. We have a large outdoor hot tub off the deck to relax after a day of sightseeing, hiking etc. Lots of outdoor seating for dinners, cocktails and relaxing. We will have the lawn and hot tub maintained during your stay. There is a cafe, bistro, bagel shop and butcher 2 blocks away. There are great bike and walking paths right near our home. Public bus is at the end of our street that connects to Seabus into Vancouver, you can be downtown Vancouver in 30 minutes by public transport. We are 5 minute drive, 20 minute walk, 10 minute nite bike ride from North Vancouver’s central area with pubs, restaurants and breweries.

Onze tips voor leuke activiteiten en uitjes bij ons in de buurt
There are bike trails and hiking trails very close to our home. You can easily ride our e-bikes to the beach/waterfront on North Vancouvers ever expanding trail systems. The main commercial area of North Vancouver is an easy 15/20 minute stroll or 10 minute bike. The Lonsdale Quay and seabus to Vancouver is a quick bus ride away or a nice 30 minute walk on paved trail. We also have a small commercial village at the end of our street with great sushi restaurant, cafe, butcher, bagel shop, convenience store and locally famous bistro. There are great parks nearby and you can easily ride our e-bikes to then around world famous Stanley Park. Capilano Suspension Bridge is 15 minutes drive from our home. There is a large mall in West Vancouver a 15 drive away (Park Royal Shopping Centre). Whistler, a world famous winter and summer destination, and Seattle,USA are both an easy 1 1/2 hour scenic drive away.
