Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
HOMELINKING SINCE 1988
Comfortable family home. We have two bedrooms on the main floor with one bathroom, a living room, kitchen, dining area, as well as a washer, dryer and a dishwasher. The third bedroom is downstairs along with a family room containing the computer, games area, additional TV, etc.. Our backyard is large and has a BBQ, lawn chairs and some fruit trees (plums) that ripen in August and are for your use. Our friendly neighbours have been most available and helpful to past exchangers. Our home is located a short distance from downtown Creston (a 10 minute walk). The town contains the usual grocery stores and shops in addition to a Fitness Centre and Community Recreation centre (an excellent indoor swimming facility). Our excellent local golf course is a ten minute drive away.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving
We live in a small town (pop. 5000) located in a beautiful river valley (pop. 15000) near the end of a very large lake (Kootenay Lake) in the heart of the Rocky mts. in the south-east corner of British Columbia about 10 kms from the U.S.A. (Idaho) border. This is mostly a fruit farming region (cherries, apples, plums, etc.). Many tourist activities are nearby: boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, golfing, scenic drives. We also have a major Wildlife Centre (nature, canoe rides) that attracts people from around the world. Creston is also an excellent home base for day trips or longer to such places as Banff, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, Fort Steele (old west Fort), Ainsworth and Fairmont hot Springs, etc..
