My house is on a small new estate about 8 miles from the City of Nottingham, close to several pretty villages with a good bus service. Some good walks, with great shopping facilities at Mapperley just up the road and Arnold town about 3 miles away. There are good rail services from Nottingham. Popular places to visit are: Southwell, Newark, Lincoln, Rufford Abbey, Sherwood Forest and of course Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. Nottingham has some good museums, theatres and shops. I do leave details of all these for my exchangers and do everything I can to ensure a happy stay.
A recent exchanger wrote "We have had a great exchange, loved the Workhouse at Newark with it's Minster and library; enjoyed Newark with the trails around the town, spent a special day at Attenborough Nature reserve, Clumber Park and Shewood Forest. Visited Kenilworth castle and Calke Abbey. Come and see for yourself!!
