We enjoyed every minute of our 3 weeks at Helen and Richard's beautiful Sutton Courtney home. The location - one hour from London and minutes from Oxford - made a perfect blend of close to the big city while being nestled in the beautiful green English country side along the Thames River. From the house, we enjoyed trips into Oxford (my favorite city of this trip) - so beautiful and so much history -museums, colleges, dining, and easy to walk around - HIGHLY recommend Oxford !! We also enjoyed Blenheim Palace - Churchill's home - and of course we went into London and saw (some of) the great sites there. We enjoyed quiet walks along the many public walking paths surrounded in tranquil, natural beauty. We loved being able to walk to the George for a pint, or to the Swan (our favorite restaurant of this trip) and the Fish for a delicious and interesting dinner (and a pint or bottle of delicious wine). Helen and Richard's home was beautiful too - an interesting blend of modern facilities housed in a cozy 1900's home with beautiful wood décor and big windows graced by grapevines dripping over the glass. And the garden - wow! Such a generous and beautifully tended garden bursting with colorful flowering plants. Not only were Helen and Richard extremely helpful in making our visit magical - the neighbors (Joan and Sophie) were the BEST! Are all British folks this nice?? We highly recommend Helen and Richard's home for a truly magical exchange - it will change you forever!

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week in Helen and Richard's home in a beautiful part of Oxfordshire. We also had the pleasure of meeting them at the end of the exchange. The house is very comfortable and charming, with what seemed like unlimited options for a lovely walk from the doorstep plus a beautiful village with a couple of nice pubs. Close to Oxford, (which we easily accessed using the park and ride service) and many other areas of interest we could have amused ourselves for weeks. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden and listening to the birds. Our house was looked after extremely well and there was great communication both before and during the exchange. This was a lovely exchange after all the trials of 2021! Thank you!

Everything was just as you'd like it, in a home that was a pleasure to come back to every evening. The Abingdon/Oxford area is a beautiful place to explore and access to bikes was a real plus. In short, another great exchange!

We really enjoyed our stay at Helen and Richard's house in Abingdon. They were very helpful organising the swap. The house itself is beautiful, well decorated with a lovely large garden and pergola that we regularly used. Peacocks occasionally wander through the garden. It is peaceful and restful. The village is picturesque with some wonderful local walks. It is close to Oxford which is accessible easily via public transport. Helen and Richard allowed my parents to stay with us which allowed us time that we rarely have together. They also let us use their tents and camping equipment for a festival which made the whole organisation so much easier. We enjoyed looking after their cat Thomas and rabbit Bruce. They really looked after our house well. We really recommend a swap with them. Thanks so much.
