We are semi-retired! My husband, Rob, and I love to travel. We did several successful home exchanges about 15 years ago but none since! We travel with our small (5kg) well behaved dog when we holiday in Europe and the UK.
Our previous home exchanges included swaps with Texas, Venice, Virginia, Miami, Alabama amongst some British exchanges too!

Beschrijving van het huis dat wij aanbieden voor ruil
We have a small 3 bed ground floor holiday apartment on a private gated golf resort called Condado de Alhama in the Murcia region of Spain. It looks out over the lovely gardens and pool (unheated so only for the brave at heart in the winter). This friendly resort is approximately 30 minutes away from Murcia International airport and about 30 minutes away from the beautiful coastal town of Puerto de Mazzaron. Cartagena, Alicante & Murcia City are all easily within reach.
The apartment is centrally located: Granada (Alhambra Palace) 2.5 hours, Madrid 4 hours, Seville 5 hours and Barcelona 6 hours drive away.
Within the resort, there are several bars, restaurants, a supermarket, spa, gym, bicycle hire and ticket office. The golf club is available for use (we have one set of men's golf clubs). It is a great little 'getaway' haven!
The apartment has a double bedroom with 5 ft bed, another double bedroom with a single bed and a further single bedroom with a single bed in.
It has a small open plan kitchen/living space which has a good selection of DVDs, internet access and various TV channels.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, fridge (basically all the items you would expect)
Most areas of the apartment are air conditioned (hot/cold air con)
A front patio is our main relaxing area which has various comfortable outdoor seating.
A rear patio has a washing machine.

Beschrijving van onze buurt en omgeving
The resort is a good size (walks on the peaceful resort ring road take 45 minutes). The properties are centred around many pretty gardens and a golf course (we have a set of clubs available). It has several bars and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk (some of these are seasonal). In addition to this, there is a gym, tennis courts (we have rackets available), hair & beauty, bicycle hire, supermarket and cash points.
The resort is very international, lots of British but both our neighbours are Spanish and the local towns have a very traditional Spanish feel with afternoon siestas shutting down the shops and services (but not the bars and restaurants thankfully!)
There is a limited bus service so if you are there for a short break, you won't need to drive but if you want to get out and about, we recommend car hire.

Our on site ticket office can help with day trips. Several Spanish markets are on in the area. A car is recommended for getting out and about.

Wat we graag willen of wat juist niet...
We will leave the apartment clean and tidy with freshly made beds and just ask that you return the favour - we do have the option to engage a cleaning/laundry service if you would prefer.
We will consider well behaved pets / pet care.
Children are also welcome however we do not have the facilities for very young children.
This is our 2nd home so we can be flexible on dates. We are open to any NSX offers in Europe/UK and we will be travelling with our tiny and very well behaved, low moult, chihuahua crossbreed dog.
