We are a young family with a newborn son. Sabine works as a financial Controller (Accountant) and Oliver as a Lecturer in electrical engineering. This house in a wonderful part of Austria is our vacation home, as both of us work in Munich, Germany. We like to travel and we have done multiple house exchanges in the past, which we enjoyed a lot.

We have already scheduled exchanges for 2023 and 2024. Thus the earliest we can do another exchange is 2025.
Our house is situated in the heart of the Austrian Alps at an elevation of 1050m (3450 feet) above sea level. It has a beautiful view of the mountains in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The house was build in 2017. It consists of one living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a carport for two cars.
The house is located in the village of Uttendorf in one of the biggest recreation areas in Austria. Uttendorf has a beautiful lake for swimming, cross country slopes, ice skating, bouldering and is a great starting point for a hike or a ski tour. The ski areas of Kitzbühel, Zell am See, Kitzsteinhorn (glacier) and Weissee (great for Families & ski touring) can all be reached within 20 minutes. Afterwards you can visit the Tauern Spa and relax. In Zell am See you can rent all kinds of boats and surfboards, take a boat trip, play golf on a 36-hole golf course, gamble in the casino or just enjoy the city and fine dining. In Krimmel you will find Europe’s largest waterfalls.
The Hohe Tauern National Park contains of over 30 mountains higher than 3000m (10000 feet). This includes the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. From Uttendorf you can take a beautiful round trip along the world-famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road.
Uttendorf has a train station. But I’d highly recommend a car to get around easily and quickly.

The freestanding house is located 250m (820 feet) above the town centre of Uttendorf. There are no other buildings in front of the house thus you have an unobstructed view. Just around the next bend of the road you will find the restaurant Liebenberg with a beautiful terrace.
