In about 100 meters you will find a a supermarket and a pharmacy and nice other shops. For a restaurant you can take the bike for about 20 minutes or take the bus to the centre of the city. You'll find very nice cafe's and restaurants all over the centre especially near the canals. But even nearby there are nice restaurants near the water Vaartse Rijn, walking dinstance. Little further away on the Vaarste Rijn (walking other direction) you can find more restaurants like Het Ketelhuis, De Zagerij, WT Urban city, LE:EN and Little Berlin (look at google maps)
Just 2 streets away you'll find a very a large second hand shop called De Arm.
For the children there are two playing area's nearby. First just two street away and the other one is a little larger and has a pool (only in summer). The large one is protected and closed in the evenings. In the house map you'll find more details.
