From our house it is approximately 200 metes to a beautiful blue flag beach which stretches for at least 4 kilometers. Overlooking the beach is the Sandhouse Hotel and Marine Spa which uses the wonderful Irish organic 'Voya' products. The hotel has an excellent restaurant overlooking Donegal bay and out towards Ben bulben in Sligo where the most fantastic sunset can be seen while enjoying a delicious meal. Regardless of the weather there is always an open fire blazing in the foyer... the aroma of the peat and the fabulous food is just the epitome of Donegal.
The North West's dramatic coastline is home to many famous links golf courses including Donegal golf club which is located only 4 kilometers from the house. Nearby courses include County Sligo , Enniscrone, Carne, Rossapenna, Portsalon, Narin & Portnoo and Ballyliffin. Further inland Rory Mc Elroy's famous Lough Erne golf club is only a forty minute drive.
