***We are looking to do a home exchange in northern or eastern Spain in APRIL/JUNE/AUGUST 2024/Buscamos intercambio de casas en el norte o este de España para ABRIL/JUNIO/AGOSTO de 2024***
Our home is a lovely detached house located in West Cork in the south of Ireland. Our house was built just 10 years ago with a large garden and fields just behind our home. We are 45 minutes from Cork city and Cork airport.
Nuestro hogar es una casa independiente y bonita en el oeste de Cork en el sur de Irlanda. Se construyó hace sólo 10 años con un jardín grande y campos justo detrás de la casa.
Estamos a 45 minutos de la ciudad de Cork y del aeropuerto de Cork.
We have 2 large double bedrooms (both ensuite with king-size beds), one large bedroom with bunk beds & one smaller bedroom with a single bed.
Tenemos 2 dormitorios grandes (ambos con baño propio y camas de tamaño king), un dormitorio grande con una litera y otro dormitorio pequeño con cama individual.
Downstairs we have a large, bright and open style kitchen with conservatory and patio area. The playroom is just beside the kitchen with lots of toys. We also have a second sitting room with L-shaped couch & open fire.
Abajo hay una cocina grande y luminosa con un patio. La sala juegos está al lado de la cocina con muchos juguetes. También tenemos un salón con un sofá.
We have 3 young children, so the house is child-proofed with stair gates, fireguards, an enclosed patio area and plenty of toys. We also have footballs, hurleys, scooters and a large trampoline.
Tenemos 3 hijos, así que la casa es muy segura para niños con puertas en la escalera, un patio, un jardín grande y un trampolín.

Our house, located in the quiet countryside and is the perfect base for exploring West Cork. We are about 2 km from the twin villages of Ballineen and Enniskeane. Here you will find an excellent supermarket with lovely home-baked goods and a small café. There are also 2 takeways, a church, GAA pitches, a beautiful riverside garden and a children’s playground in the village.
Beyond that, we're about equal distance from the towns of Dunmanway, Bandon and Clonakilty. All are about a 10 - 15 minute drive and have a good selection of supermarkets (Supervalu, Dunnes Stores, Aldi, Lidl) and other shops.
We're also about 45 minutes drive from Cork City and Airport so easy access if coming from abroad.

Onze tips voor leuke activiteiten en uitjes bij ons in de buurt
Our house is the ideal base for venturing around beautiful West Cork and the Wild Atlantic Way.
Firstly, Clonakilty and the famous Inchydoney beach are a 15 minute drive away. There is a surf school at the beach where you can get lessons or rent boards and wetsuits. There are also plenty of other beaches close to choose from close by.
In Clonakilty, there are lots of lovely restaurants and takeaways to suit all tastes. We'd suggest getting a pizza in Oak Fire Pizza ( www.oakfirepizza.ie ) and taking that down to Inchedoney to enjoy on one of the picnic tables overlooking the sea.
There are plenty of pubs also, with live music and entertainment. We'd suggest either De Barras for live music, or enjoy the beer garden in Scannels if its hot
There are plenty of other things to occupy yourselves like the Park Cinema, The Clonkailty Park Adventure Centre, the Michael Collins Museum, the Model Railway village, the Clonakilty Blackpudding Visitor Centre and the Clonakilty Distillary and Visitor Centre to name a few.
What's more, the beautiful coastal towns of Rosscarbery & Skibbereen are just 30 minutes away. Rosscarbery also has a stunning beach, the Warren, which has good facilitites too (large car park, toilets, food trucks). There is also the Smugglers Cove Adventure Centre (18 hole minigolf, driving range and corn maze) and the Lagoon Activity Centre (SUP boarding, kayaking, pedal boats and windsurfing).
We are also located 45 minutes from Cork city and about 1 hour's drive from the famous Fota Wildlife Park.
